  • We are often asked about breed related illnesses. Many genetic diseases are rare and complex, with some diseases requiring multiple ancestors to pass on particular genes to cause disease. Other diseases are simply related to a single ancestor in a dog’s breed makeup.
  • Learning more about the history of breeds and any possible breed-related disorders can help you and your veterinarian develop a custom health and wellness plan for your dog.
