Did You Know?

Affenpinschers are thought to be one of the oldest toy dogs in the world. Feisty, and enthusiastic barkers, many love them for their playful natures. Back in the 17th century, however, it was their size that put them in high demand. While terriers were commonly used to control rats, you needed a slightly smaller solution if you found your house or farm over-run with mice instead.

The breed’s size, combined with their intelligence, made them the perfect mouse hunter. And while many of us have modern pest control services today, it’s still a joy to have these loveable little dogs running around in our homes.
