Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Did You Know?

Active and alert, the Taigan is an ancient Asian breed. They’re originally from Kirgizstan, specifically the mountainous parts and largely concentrated in the region of Tien Shan.

Built for extreme environments, these dogs can live in areas up to 2000 to 4000 meters above sea level. They are used to hunt ibex, roe deer, foxes, badgers and wolves. (Hunters sometimes use them in coordination with trained birds of prey).

Since the 1980s the breed has been more widespread in Russia, where they are employed for hunting too. It’s a skill the Taigan is very much suited to, with their impressive visual acuity, persistence and sense of smell. Loving and protective, we have high praise indeed for these mountain dogs.
